Why metal re-roofs fail
A new roof can look perfect from the street and still be wrong underneath. These are the shortcuts we see, and what we do instead.

Rotten timber left under the new sheets
Sagging or rotten timber gets sheeted straight over. The roof looks new for a while, then the dips and leaks come back. We check the timber and fix it before a single sheet goes on.

Screws driven into the old battens
Old battens are tired. Screws into them don't hold the way they should. We put in new 40mm top-hat battens every time.

Old flashings put back on
Reusing old flashings saves the roofer time and costs you a leak later. Every flashing on our roofs is new.

Silicone where flashing should be
A tube of silicone is not a flashing. Ridge capping and wall flashings are done properly, so they don't depend on sealant that perishes in the sun.

How a metal re-roof runs

Free inspection, measure and quote
We come out, get on the roof and measure up. The quote is back to you within 2 days, at a fixed price.

Materials on site
Happy with the quote? We get the materials there. Most jobs start within 1 to 2 weeks.
- 03
Old roof off
The old roof comes off and goes away with us. For tile roofs, tile bins are on site and gone when the new roof is on.
- 04
New roof on
Timber fixed, new battens, new flashings, new Colorbond. A standard re-roof takes about 2 days, or 3 to 4 with fascia and gutters.
- 05
Clean-up
Magnet sweep for screws, scrap metal taken on completion, and the site left clean.

How long does a re-roof take?
A standard house re-roof takes about 2 days. If fascia and gutters are being done as well, allow 3 to 4 days for everything.
How soon can you start?
The quote is back to you within 2 days of the inspection. Once you're happy with it, we get the materials on site and most jobs start within 1 to 2 weeks.
Can you change my tile roof to metal?
Yes, it's the work we do most. The tiles come off into bins on site, the timber is checked and fixed, new battens go on, and the new Colorbond roof goes on top. The tile bins are gone when the roof is done.
What warranty do I get?
A 7-year workmanship warranty from us, plus the 10-year Colorbond material warranty, which is passed on to you.
Do you do storm damage and insurance work?
Yes. We quote off your insurer's scope of works, and we help customers who are cash-settling their claim. Our reports include dated close-up photos of every hit and drone photos, and we check the gutters, flashings and vents as well as the sheets.
What happens to the old roof?
We take it away. Old tin and any scrap metal leave with us when the job is finished, and we do a magnet sweep for screws before we go.
Which profiles and colours can I choose?
Colorbond in Corrugated, Trimdek or Klip-Lok, in any Colorbond colour.
What areas do you cover?
The Hunter Valley, Newcastle and the Central Coast, roughly 30km around our base. We'll travel further for the right job.
